The new Star Trek, a breath of fresh air and finall a movie that dosen't suck, unlike all the movies so far in the line up of this year's blockbusters *cough*wolverine*cough*. This review will be rather short.Having never been a fan of the original series/movies, I can say this movie was thoroughly enjoyable, the characters were believable and the jokes were even understandable for a non-trekkie like myself. Needless to say the visuals are outstanding, the effects are breathtaking and the cinematography is brilliant (utilising the shaky cam to good effect).
J.J. has pulled of a brilliant re-imagining and props to him for a clever way to justify a new plot (you know what I mean).
A thoroughly enjoyable, action, popcorn flick, I give it 7/10.
